Foresight is a mobile application operated in Saudi Arabia ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
- Only your email and the financial data you enter are synced to our secure cloud
- We never sell your data to third parties
- We never connect to your bank accounts
- We do not use analytics or tracking tools that profile your behavior
- You can delete your account and all data at any time
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide:
When you create an account and use the App, we collect:
- Email Address: Used for account authentication and important notifications
- Financial Data You Enter: Income, assets, debts, and spending information you manually input
- App Preferences: Currency, display settings, and notification preferences
Information Collected Automatically:
When you use the App, our infrastructure providers may automatically collect limited technical data, including:
- IP address (used for secure authentication and fraud prevention)
- Device type and operating system version
- App version and crash logs (used to diagnose and fix errors)
- General usage timestamps (e.g., when you sign in)
We do not use third-party analytics tools to track or profile your in-app behavior. We do not collect your location, contacts, or any data beyond what is listed above.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide the financial forecasting and scenario planning features
- Sync your data across devices when you're signed in
- Send optional monthly check-in reminders (if enabled)
- Diagnose technical issues and improve app stability
- Improve the app experience
We process your data on the legal basis of contract performance (providing the service you signed up for) and, where applicable, your explicit consent.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud platform with industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS in transit). We implement appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction of your information.
Data Location: Your data is stored on servers located in Northeast Asia (Seoul, South Korea), operated by Supabase's cloud infrastructure provider (AWS ap-northeast-2).
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase: For authentication and secure data storage (supabase.com/privacy)
- Apple (Sign in with Apple): For user authentication. When you sign in with your Apple ID, Apple processes your authentication data according to their privacy policy (apple.com/legal/privacy)
- Expo: For app delivery and push notifications (expo.dev/privacy)
These services have their own privacy policies and process data according to their respective terms. We have selected providers who meet industry-standard security and privacy requirements.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only:
- With your explicit consent
- To comply with legal obligations, lawful requests, or valid legal process
- To protect our rights, safety, or the safety of our users
- With our service providers (listed in Section 4) strictly for the purposes of operating the App
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide you with the App's services. If your account is inactive for 24 consecutive months, we may send you a notification and, if no response is received within 30 days, delete your account and all associated data.
After account deletion (whether initiated by you or due to inactivity), all your personal and financial data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: View all data associated with your account
- Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Restrict Processing: Request that we limit how we use your data
- Opt-out: Disable notifications at any time
- Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email listed below or use the relevant features within the App. We will respond to valid requests within 30 days.
8. International Users and GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent legislation, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Our lawful basis for processing your data is: (a) contract performance — processing is necessary to provide you the services you signed up for; and (b) legitimate interest — processing limited technical data to maintain the security and stability of the App.
If your data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
9. California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: You may request details about the personal information we collect about you and how it is used.
- Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
- No Sale of Personal Information: We do not sell your personal information to third parties, as defined under the CCPA.
10. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a security breach that affects your personal data, we will notify affected users via email and/or in-app notification without undue delay and no later than 72 hours after becoming aware of the breach, where feasible. We will also notify relevant data protection authorities as required by applicable law.
11. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time through the App settings (Settings > Account > Delete Account). This will permanently remove all your data from our servers within 30 days. You may also request deletion by contacting us at the email below.
12. Children's Privacy
Foresight is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 18, we will promptly delete that information.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
